I've never really coined myself as much of a detective or problem solver, however when I was contacted by Jennie from search laboratory about the #MegaMysteryBusEvent with Mega Bus UK, I couldn't help but feel excited about the prospect of channelling a lit bit of my inner CSI detective spirit for one night.

The Mystery Tour:

The night began at the beautiful Radisson Blu Portman Hotel in where there was wine and snacks galore. Me, being the lover of wine that I am, headed straight for not one but two glasses of wine, one red (which I later regretted later on in the night as I remembered I hadn't eaten much that day!) They had a lovely selection of nibbles: mini hamburgers, meat sticks, spring rolls and more, it was a fun way to start our night of mystery and get to know the other bloggers at the event.

After snacks and lots of excited giggles, our night of mystery began. We were joined by two police officers (actors of course!) who informed us of a mystery that we were required to solve. They talked us through the rules of the night, how to use our super top secret iPad's (made specifically for detective work) and any extra miscellaneous bits of information we needed to know. Once our briefing was over, we all gathered into our teams and made our way to the bus.

I was part of a great group of bloggers (Soeurs De Luxe, School run Beauty, Loved by Laura & Lojo vs the world ) who were able to think on their feet a lot faster than I was, so I think the event organisers knew what they were doing when they did this, haha - I was in good hands! As we made our way to the bus, we had just enough time for a group photo before we began our journey.

Our first stop to gather clues to the puzzle was the iconic Westminster Abbey, where we came across Sherlock Holmes. Our team had no choice but to hum one of his favourite songs in order to gain vital clues for the next round. This was one of my favourite part's of the night as I was in awe at how beautiful the Abbey looked at night. We were able to see it in all it's gothic glory and that was something I was so grateful I got do while on the tour.

After we gathered clues from the Abbey, we made our way back to the bus, so we could make our way to the final stops Trafalgar Square and Covent garden to find the final clues. While at Trafalgar Square we came across another detective: an inspector Lestrange (who oddly resembled Sherlock) to who we had to tell a joke in order to gain vital clues. It's safe to say Lestrange is a tough cookie to crack, but we were able to make him laugh eventually.

While in Trafalgar, we strolled into a bar (As you do when you're on mystery tour) and took a group photo behind the bar to represent the photo task that was required of us "Women behind bars" our team, including the barmaid thought this was ridiculously funny and witty and carried us one step closer to cracking the code.

Our final stop carried us to Covent Garden where we were on a race to the finish to gather all of the clues to crack the code and solve the mystery. Our team, although quick in gathering clues, evidence and cracking the code, we were not quick enough to be crowned the winners and actually ended up coming in last place (a fact the competitive player in me finds very hard to admit!).  Once finished with the tour, we headed back to the cosy hues of Radisson Blu, for drinks and a chit chat with Mega Bus's mascot Sid, who was a radiating ray of happiness.

To Conclude...

All in all I had fabulous evening. I was able to get to know new bloggers by working together to solve a mystery, all while touring the famous sights of London, which is something I have never been able to do at a Blogging event. And for that a big thank you has to go to Mega Bus UK, Search Laboratory and the Radisson Blu for putting on such a fabulous show.

I would highly recommend considering Mega Bus for your next UK trip, they have a lovely team who are welcoming and kind, and a bus that is comfortable and warm, perfect for these minus temperatures we've been getting lately. Not to mention they are affordable, prices can start from as low as £1 - can you believe that?!

It was an awesome night that got my brain ticking after a long day at work and I would be more than happy to do it all over again (providing I was able to win this time). Thank you for having me Mega Bus and Search Laboratory.

As always thank you guys for reading...
