Fashion of the Autumn and Winter seasons have always held a special place in my heart. They're the only seasons in the UK where I can wear numerous layers of clothing, without being judged for being a cold-blooded lizard...Oh and trudging around in the crisp, autumn leaves in swishy long coats and stylish fedoras is quite the bonus too.
1) Simplicity - Autumnal fashion is simple, it is minimal, it is chic. You could put on a pair of jeans, a chunky knit, some ankle boots and you could look good enough to meet the queen...ok perhaps not the queen, but you get my drift right? Not much faffing around is required with autumnal fashion for it to look pleasing on the eye and for my lazy nature, I go couldn't think of anything more perfect!
2) Layers - Whether it's layering up a slip dress with a turtle neck or a pinafore with a chunky knit. Layering different items of clothing together will always give the outfit a new look and sometimes the finishing touch that is needed for those cold and gloomy days.
3) Long Coats Galore - The good old long coat reappears always reappears in my wardrobe as soon as Autumn hits. Long coats have this effortless ability to dress up even the most drab of outfits - PJ's and converses anyone? Your duster will dress them up too!
4) Earthy hues - The khaki's, browns and burnt oranges of the world are what make autumn fashion so damn perfect. I am a big fan of nature and wearing these colours always give me the illusion that I am rolling around in a big pile of earthy, golden pile of nature!

Autumn truly is the season of the year, it always brings joy to my heart when it arrives, and sorrow when it is time for it to go. Until next time Autumn, but don't worry you'll still catch me in boots, come Summer time, sweaty feet and all!
