5 Reasons Why Boohoo Will Always Be My Favourite Online Retailer

Thursday, 7 July 2016

I still remember the first time I heard about the ever-popular clothing website boohoo.com. I was a disastrous looking 17 year old, in my second year at Sixth Form, sitting in our student common room. My friend Meg and I were discussing clothes etc. and she was showing me a picture of some gorgeous platform heels she wore on a night out with a few friends. They were black, sleek, very glamorous...and they were only £20! The dress she also wore to that night was also only just...£15 and it looked stunning! I was intrigued to know which clothing store was stocking such beautiful clothes, but at such affordable prices. She told me, "They're called boohoo, they have such great dresses for nights out at really good prices and their shoes are so comfortable" That day I went home, I immediately punched the letters B-O-O-H-O-O into google and scoured the site for hours and hours on end! That very same  day, hours into the night, I ordered my very first boohoo item: A navy blue and cream skater dress for just £15 and trust me, I have never looked back since.

Since that day I have had an ongoing love affair with all things Boohoo; boots, hats, dresses, what have you! They have been my saving grace for almost every event I have attended since my student days and they will always be my number one, here are 5 Reasons why Boohoo will always be my favourite online retailer.

1. Always on Trend - From runway trends to Japanese street fashion, whatever is currently tantalising the fashion industries tastebuds, Boohoo will bring it to you. I always know that come the end of fashion week, I can always rely on Boohoo to bring me all of the newest seasons trends at an marginally more reasonable price than a lot of other retailers. They did it with 60's fashion two seasons ago and they did it with 70's fashion last season, they will always keep their customers stylishly updated and on trend.

2. £1.00 Next Day Delivery Anyone? - No other store does Next Day Delivery better than Boohoo! They were there for me last month when I was the godmother for a Christening and waited until the day before to order an outfit. They were there for me, when I needed a fleeky new winter coat for work, because the weather had decided to drastically changed. And they were there for me when I just needed a little retail therapy, to cheer me up ASAP! £1.99 delivery for the world! No word of a lie, I have NEVER had a problem with their delivery service and I love them for it! I praise their delivery service and would recommend anyone who wishes to have something delivered next day to give Boohoo a go.

3. Discount for Days - Boohoo are always offering something helpful to their customers. Whether it's a promo code offering 50% off all footwear or a sitewide 30% off sale, they always have something extra to offer to their customers, strengthening that retailer and customer bond and is the perfect incentive to keep people going back to the site!

4. Cater to their Audience - Boohoo have always known who their target audience is and they damn well will always make sure that they cater to their latest needs, wants and desires. Want to be a unicorn? They'll have all of the unicorn slogan tees to make you feel like you've transfigured into the magical creature itself. Want to be as stylish as your favourite blogger, Boohoo will more than likely have an edit by them, showcasing your favourite pieces so that you can rock a black mesh body as good as Sarah Ashcroft does! Which brings me onto my 5th and final point...

5. Relatable - Boohoo is for the every girl, it's for the dreamer, it's for the style conscious and the style savvy. They encompass every trend and therefore make it relatable to just about everyone. Their work with well-known bloggers has also added to this relatable trate. Younger consumers are seeing their favourite bloggers on Boohoo's instagram, on the Boohoo websites and even in Boohoo television adverts. By having bloggers so closely involved with the promotion of Boohoo, they are breaking that barrier between "high fash-un unrelatable models" and relatable 'I blog about my favourite lipstick' every day girls, who don't have modelling contracts. It gives the younger generation hope, that the world of fashion is changing, doors are opening for the every girl and the fashion world is no longer strictly reserved for the utmost elite of the elite.
