Welcome, ladies and gentleman to the first outfit post on the new 100 ways to 30. And the first one on this blog in about 2 months, which is just horrendous, if you ask me? But you're not really asking me, so I guess it's not so horrendous? Right?
Anyway today's post is a slightly odd combination, Twinings tea and clothes, yes the connection is hard to make, but stay with me and let me take you on a little adventure into the minds of the twinings tea team! I have been working with a PR company called Cohn & Wolfe who work with Tea giants extraordinaire, Twinings and Twinings have expertly matched three of my outfits up with 3 of their lovely teas. I was a little unsure at how this would work initially, but it turns out that Twinings actually use inspiration from designs, colours, shapes and textures seen on the catwalk to develop the eclectic array of their teas. And so they asked if they could do the same with me and my outfits (minus the cat walking of course!). I have created three looks and today I will be showing you the first one, which has been matched up with the Apple and Elderflower Green Tea. Have a read and do let me know in the comments below if you think it's a match between me and my old friend Mr Green Tea!
I love minimal styling and with minimal styling comes block colouring, which is the look I was going for with this outfit. Full-on, colour blocking, glorious khaki with some faux fur and a little tiny owl on the side!
I love anything oversized as you will gather from this lookbook, as pretty much EVERY single outfit featured is oversized, baggy and verging on the appearance of the sack you climbed into as a kid when you were doing the sack race on Sport's Day! I've had this jumper for 2 years now and just like everything else I own I've barely ever worn it! I'm starting to wonder what i actually walk around in, as the majority of the clothes I own are rarely ever worn, so maybe I just walk around naked then? Hmm? Food for thought.
I would say this look is a little rocker chick, a little edgy and a little bit earthy (er-thee: wood-y, green -y and environmental-y) catch my drift? Maybe not. But it's quite outdoor-sy...in a glam way!
Keeping with this simple/earth-y/outdoor-sy style I opted for very simple accessories in my favourite owl pendant, a simple gold chain (I did the layering thing again) my trusty fedora and plain black gusset boots. The perfect look for a day of zooming around the 100 acre wood on a segway. Now wouldn't that be fun?!

Twinnings has to be my favourite brand of tea here in the UK! They have a vast variety of flavours for all seasons. Your outfit is so cute, by the way. Love love love the Khaki and the combination of textures! xo
