Faux Fur All Day & All Night With LYDC

IT'S FASHION TIME! I bet you never thought you would hear those words on this again did you? I was starting to wonder whether or not I would too! It's been so long since I have posted an outfit post and I thought to kickstart this post I would just start off with a quick explanation as to why.

Well firstly back in October my memory card broke, I had to order a new one, however financially I was really struggling and so making sure I had enough money to top up my oyster card to go to work took precedent over a replacing a memory card. I then lost my camera's battery charger for about 2 weeks, I eventually found it! Then for about 2-3 weeks we had a horrible amount of rainy, dull weather which prevented me from taking photos, without looking like a wet dog. Then once the weather eventually cleared, came the problem of actually finding someone to take the photos for me, unfortunately every time I asked someone to help me out, they were either too busy, or their free time clashed with my busy times - ugh it was a nightmare! However in the last two weeks I have somehow managed to get some outfit photos taken and have had the opportunity to work with some pretty cool brands on them, which is very exciting!
So today I present to you the first of one of these very exciting collaborations with the lovely brand LYDC London who produce fantasmical luxury bags. Following LYDC contacting me regarding a collaboration, I researched their brand and immediately the inner fashion blogger within me was pleasantly pleased haha! They are SO versatile in their design, and when I say they have a bag for just about everyone - I mean EVERYONE! Trust me, my LYDC wishlist says it all!
LYDC offered to send me over one of their bags with the challenge, to create a day to night look styled around the bag. Of course I chose a backpack...surprise surprise - I know!  This backpack also featured in my LYDC wishlist, it's a lovely croc and faux fur bag with beautiful gold fastenings and I thought it would make the perfect day to night companion!
For the day time look, I opted for an androgynous and edgy vibe, with some over-sized menswear and my Fedora in toe.
I wore this outfit to the #bloggersxmas event a few weeks ago (read the post here) and I thought it was completely fool proof, until...a HUGE gust of wind decided to grace me with it's presence and send my hat flying off down the yellow bloody brick road - luckily a Dorothy-esque character returned it back to me - thanks Dorothy (even though that probably wasn't even your real name)!
It was the first time I wore these leather pants, I had bought them about 3 years ago on an impulse-I-need-to-feel-better-about-myself-so-i'm-going-to-spend-lots-of-money-that-i-don't-have kind of way, and at the time I really wasn't fond of them but they were too expensive to give away, so I kept them - and now 3 years later, I'm so glad I did!

I love the quilted pattern on the knee caps and the accented corduroy applique style patches - they're edgy and oh so cool! Whenever I wear them I always feel like I need to hop onto a Harley Davidson and ride off into the sunset with Leonardo DiCaprio on the back seat, with his hands wrapped tightly around my waist - ahh bliss!
Finished off with my favourite I'm-probably-going-to-get-married-in-these boohoo boots - obvs...because is there really anything else that are as good as these boots? NO!

Now onto the second look. My little faux fur is now coming with me on a night out!
This time I have gone for a tailored, colour-blocked, over-sized look! AND the best part about it...this blazer was £5 in the Primark Christmas sale! I bought it a year ago and it's about 2 sizes too big - but tbh that's how I like it! The royal blue sticks out like a sore thumb against the dark monochrome colour of the playsuit and the bag, but that's what I love about it!
Now as I move from my daily duties onto night time ventures I like to keep within my edgy/androdgynous style with an extra added hint of SASS! This playsuit and blazer combo gives me just that. The playsuit is fitted, with just the right amount of baggy, thankfully giving me just enough space to breathe, once all those chips and glasses of wine have been consumed! And yes I know crochet is sooo last season, but I don't care, it adds a lovely girly vibe to the look!
Now I don't know about you guys, but when I go out, I'm ALWAYS the one with the bag, I'm ALWAYS the one with the flats (for the end of the night, when your feet feel like they're going to fall off), the deodrants (for when you're too sweaty from "turning up" a bit too much) AND the chewing gum (for when you need to convince your parents you haven't just been necking back an entire bottle of tequila and that you spent a quiet night in watching Gossip Girl!) Anyway - I usually take a lot of things when I'm going out and carrying a handbag can make my arm ache at times, so having this backpack, which can hold all of the above and then some, is pretty darn handy! Damn LYDC you've done it again!
