Last week, it was a Tuesday like any other, until something amazing happened. I was sitting at my laptop, stuffing my face with something unhealthy (KFC no doubt!) as I do, when my phone buzzed. It was an email - and no this wasn't your typical email from a PR company asking me to do a sponsored post on car tyres! No this was an email from bare minerals - inviting ME to their christmas party to celebrate the launch of their new range! *Insert wide-eyed emoji here* To say I was shocked was an understatement. What did Bare Minerals want with me?! This had to be a mistake! It wasn't.
So Thursday night, I got myself out of my pizza stained top and fluffy pyjama bottoms, faffed around with some make-up and trundled down to the Aviary Bar with my best buds Sabreena and Arjumand to see what Bare Minerals had to share.
I will admit, I'm not the most avid make-up user and I'm in no way a beauty guru just read my reasons I'm not a Beauty Blogger post to know, but there are certain brands that I have used and have known about regardless of my lack of expertise in the make-up department and Bare Minerals is one of them! My mom went crazy when she found out I was going to this party as it's a brand she has known and loved for a number of years.
The decor was decadent and dark, something I liked very much and thought it fit the theme of the night perfectly! As soon as I walked in, I saw so much going on, there were people getting their hair and nails done, a bar serving some very delicious, vodka Cranberry cocktails, beautiful canapes and an amazing group of beautifully dressed bloggers!
The tables were lain with bits from the new collection, so that we could have a feel and test them out ourselves, which was a nice touch! Unfortunately I wasn't able to take any pictures, as the setting inside was rather dark, but I do have some pictures from the Bare Minerals team - which should be a great substitute! I love the whole theme of the range, dubbed by bareMinerals as 'a collection filled with mystery and delight', I couldn't agree more! From the packaging down to the products themselves (Don't get me started on the dashing duo set!), everything told an enchanting, christmas-y story and I will definitely be getting the lipstick set for someone (or myself as a cheeky gift) for christmas.

#BareStory Favourites
I had such a great time, and it was the first event that I went to in which I was finally able to meet the blogging ladies I have been talking to on twitter/lusting over their blogs in the actual flesh for the first time! I literally bumped into Elle on her way out (drats! I wish I came earlier so I could've spoken to her longer) but she was such a babe, she looked flawless and she was so so kind and sweet, can't wait to see her again at another event. And also I got to meet Maryam finally! We have been speaking on twitter for a while now, so it was so nice to FINALLY meet her in the flesh! She was so so lovely and cool, her make-up was just flawless and her hair was rocking, such a cool chick - I also can't wait to see her again!
Did you go to the Bare Minerals Christmas Party? Which one is your favourite bare Mineral product?
