NYFW has come around again oh so quickly! I still remember writing my first NYFW post, just over 7 months ago, when my blog was still in it's early days - ahh how the time hath flown! Now here I am 7 months later, doing another NYFW recap, forever wishing that I had enough money to strut around in these seriously cool threads. Here are my NYFW favourites:
So I'm kicking things off with good old DKNY, which I absolutely LOVE! Everything about this collection is just perfect. It's got monochrome - Tick. Asymmetric cuts - Tick. Androgyny - Tick! This season DKNY were under the new reign of Dao-Yi Chow & Maxwell Osbourne and they did not disappoint. The collection had a vibe of structured, strong pieces for the every day working woman but with an edge. This collection was gold, I mean, Longline blazer doubled up as a dress - TAKE MY MONEY NOW! Trending: Pinstripes, asymmetric cuts, professionalism. See the collection here
Alexander Wang
If you read my A/W15 NYFW post then you'll know how much I love Alexander Wang, and he is perhaps one of my favourite designers. Last fashion season, his designs were just amazing and this season they did not disappoint! I love his edgy and dark designs, but I like that this season, the looks are a lot more relaxed, but still with that Alexander edge we all love! I love that he has incorporated fringing into the SS16 season, because I am a big fan of the fringe! You go Wang! Trending: Fringe, mesh and stripes. See the collection here
Proenza Schouler
How amazing does this collection look? I loved the diversity of the differences in shape and structure, no one piece was the same! Again it seems that monochrome and mesh are a trend that is going to be everywhere come SS16 and I can't wait because I love a bit of mesh! My favourite piece has got to be the feather dress in the middle, I think the feather detailing adds the perfect dash of colour to the all white look and adds that extra slice of sophistication in true Proenza Schouler style! Trending: Mesh, Waterfall structures, off - cut shoulder sleeves. See the collection here
Tommy Hilfiger
And of course I have saved the best for last. The Tommy Hilfiger collection bought colour, fun and folklore to the catwalk. With a relaxed island come bohemian vibe, these designs are everything and more! I love that the pieces are casual and simple, with that little bit extra with the colourful patterns. All while keeping with the relatable and wearable air that Tommy Hilfiger designs are known for! Trending: Multicoloured stripes and peruvian inspired patterns. See the collection here.

What was your favourite collection at NYFW? Did you like these designers collections?
