"You know that I could not believe my own truth. Just show them what I choose, got nothing to lose" - Foster the People's 'Helena Beat'
So it's official I have been blogging for a year now, whoop whoop, hooray, my blog is now a year old! Now I thought about doing the obligatory, slightly corny blogiversary-blog-birthday-take-pictures-with-a-cake-or-balloon-signifying-blog-age type post. However that sadly required a little too much effort and money on my part, both of which I have none! So I thought I would enlighten you all about how I found my blogging voice, and a few of some of my favourite pictures from my blog this year!
When I first started blogging I tried so hard to be that blogger. You see, I'm a logical person and look for certain patterns and algorithms in life to see what will help me achieve what I want to achieve. And so when I started this blog I applied this same theory, I saw other people's blogs and saw what they did and looked at that as a recipe for success. But it wasn't because it was their recipe! It wasn't mine! It took me so long to realise, that this was not a recipe I could find in the cookbooks, it was one that I had to cook up all on my own, using my own ingredients. It took me a while to realise that blogging, just like any other writing venture requires you to develop your own unique sense of style and voice, and that this doesn't happen overnight, it takes time.
What works for another blogger, may not always work for me. It's the same in life outside of blogging, another person's success story is not necessarily going to be mine, I have to create my own story and carve my own path! Once I started blogging for myself, I started to love writing and blogging again! I started to create posts for myself, in my own style and using my own voice and I wrote about things that I wanted to write about. I felt more comfortable and I felt more hopeful about my future in blogging, knowing that I have begun the preparation for my blogging recipe of success!
So yeah, I guess you could say I've kind of found my blogging rhythm. There's still so much that I would love to achieve in blogging and I will continue to draw inspiration from successful bloggers, but I will make my own path and will ensure that I always stay true to everything that my blog and I are about! So yeah happy blogiversary to 100 Ways to 30, it's been an insightful and educational year! Stay beautiful guys and remember to create your own blogging recipe! ;)

Thank you for reading guys, until next time I'm...
