H&M Orange Jumper

"So let me hold both your hands in the holes of my sweater" - The Neighbourhood's 'Sweater Weather'
So it would appear that Autumn has finally arrived. But in all honesty I don't think it ever really left, given the "summer" that we've had! But of course with the shift in weather patterns, comes the shift in style and fashion and it's sad to say it's time to put away our bikini's and sandles and bring out the boots and chunky knits!

So of course I went for the chunkiest, brightest and autumnist (is that even a word?) jumper going - because that's just what I do and created this casual and fun look.

Now I'm really not a big fan of bright colours, I prefer clothing of the darker nature, you know, the blacks, the greys and the navies. But there was just something about this jumper when I saw it on the racks that called me over. I think it was something about how chunky and baggy it was, as I'm a sucker for a baggy jumper!

Although a bright orange, I think it works well as that staple transitional summer to autumn piece, with it offering brightness but also comfort - which is key for AW clothes.

Going for a casual yet glam layered look, I paired it with this maxi skirt, to keep with the baggy theme and the sparkly jewels to glam it up. While orange hues and trainers are a look I don't always go for, I actually really like the outcome of the look and enjoyed taking a different approach to my every day style.

  2. I love the color of this sweater! I tend to shy away from bright colors as well, it makes me feel self conscious, but I love the way you styled this, especially with those sneakers! I'll definitely try and incorporate more brights into my fall wardrobe.
