6 Impossible Things: August Update

Tuesday, 1 September 2015

Pinch. Punch. First of the month! I am finding it so hard to believe that August has come to an end and we are now in September, which means we are fast approaching autumn! So like I said in my previous 6 Impossible things post (see it here) I would be choosing 6 things which I found to be challenging or impossible for me for the month of August and carrying out an update. Since it's the first of the month and I'm close to coming up with another 6 impossible things for this month, I would update you guys on just how successful I managed to be with my choices!

The Update:
1. I must tell myself one thing that I like about myself each day, this could be about my appearance or my personality or even the outfit I choose to wear that day! - So I really, really wanted this impossible thing to become possible, but I found it really hard to keep up with. For the first two weeks, I was doing it very well, no matter how small I would compliment myself daily, but then as the weeks progressed, so did my mood and I just didn't feel like complimenting myself anymore! You know when you just feel so down, that you just can't find anything you like about yourself, yeah towards the end of August that was me! But I really want to continue doing this more regularly because it really does help to make me feel more positive about myself and the day to come!

2. Keep to my new blogging schedule which is: posting 4 times a week and once a week on my youtube channel. - Ahh now this one I did oh so well with, for nearly all of August I posted 4 days for the week, sometimes more! I was so proud of myself. But I messed up last week, by only posting once on the Friday! But I think I did really well with this one, providing I am the worst at keeping to a blogging schedule! Haha!

3. Find a full-time job - Sadly I've had no luck finding a full - time job! But I am determined that September will be the month that I do get one!

4. Film my August lookbook -  Tick! The one thing on this list that I was able to make possible! I filmed and published my August lookbook onto my youtube channel around the second week of August and I really was proud of myself for this one, seeing as lookbooks are one of the longest and hardest youtube videos to film and edit! Watch it here

5. Read 2 books - Well I've read one, does that count? No it doesn't! I'm halfway through the second one, and will hopefully finish it soon!

6. Stop biting my nails and grow them back -  Another big old FAIL! I'm really not doing great at these am I? :( I grew my nails for a week and then I started biting them again and this cycle continued for the whole month of August! I want to try to grow them for September, especially with Autumn coming now I want to be able to paint my nails with a lovely berry/wine nail polish!

So all in all, I think the moral of my first 6 Impossible things challenge is that A: I need to have a lot more will power and B: That I'm the only person standing in the way of me completing all the things on my list! Although I started off with some really simple challenges, it's a lot harder than it seems! But it's definitely a learning curve, one I am eager to continue! :)

What impossible things do you think I should try next? Have you done a challenge like this before?

  3. You certainly haven't chosen the easiest tasks but I think the idea that you are actively trying to achieve these is more important than whether you actually did! And I love that idea that we are the only ones in our way because it's so true, it's just difficult to realise sometimes!

  5. I absolutely love #1 even though I feel it could definitely be the most difficult one as we are always our own worst critics.
