April Haul: Boohoo, Missguided & Next

Tuesday, 5 May 2015

Hey guys! Hope you are all doing well, can you believe it's already May?! Like what? I feel like it was just New year's yesterday, why does time have to move so fast!? Anyhoo in other news April was a great month, I have now finally completed and handed in my dissertation yayy *does happy dance*, attended an event with Next and Company magazine (read about that here) and got lots of lovely new clothes hehe, which was a bit naughty as I am supposed to be saving up, but hey - ho a girl's got to look good! Right? So as I got quite a few things (well a decent amount) I have decided to do a little haul for you guys, to show you all the lovely little things I picked up last month! Keep reading on to see all things preeetty...

I'll start first with the things I got from the lovely Boohoo. I got two things from here and was feeling like having some patterns, so I got some checks and tartan!

1. The first item is this lovely red tartan tunic (sadly I couldn't find the link for this item, but find a similar one here). I absolutely love this, it's made from a sheer fabric which is nice and light, making it perfect for summer. Now I don't usually wear tunics but I saw the striking colour and tartan print and of course I had to have it! I have paired mine with a crop bralet top from H&M inside as it's quite sheer and a pair of leggings.

2.The second thing I got from Boohoo is this lovely A line checked skirt (find it here). I love A line skirts and don't wear them enough, I feel like anything that has an A-line cut just screams 90's, (the decade I was born in) so obviously the best years for fashion ever! I love this skirt, it is definitely one of my favourite pieces that I got in April. Only thing I would suggest if you were to purchase this is to go a size smaller than usual as I ordered in a size 8 and it was slightly big, so had to have it exchanged for a smaller size, so just bare this in mind, if you do buy it.

So next, I'm sure you guys know me by now, and know that a fashion post of mine would not be complete without the addition of Missguided somewhere. From Missguided I got 4 things, which helped me qualify for free next day delivery (whoop whoop) *happy dance* add that to the 25% student discount, and you've got a bit of a winner here!

3. The first item I got was this super cool set of high waisted navy trousers (find it here). I am a big fan of anything high-waisted and these are no exception. The navy blue colour is such a lovely shade, as it's not so dark that it starts to look like the colour of your old school jumper! I have ordered these same style of trousers before, but in another colour and so I kind of had a good idea of what they would look like on, and I wasn't disappointed! Pair it with a crop top, like I have here or a chiffon blouse, perfect for those summer nights out with friends.

4. Next is this black roll neck crop top (find it here), I think by now you can start to see a pattern forming between me and crop tops. I just love them, because you can basically wear them with anything. This one is so chic and is perfect for spring, I paired this with a pair of tartan skorts in my recent outfit post which you can find here. And plan to wear it with the A line skirt from Boohoo with some flats and a cute backpack. The fit is quite close, but not to the point where you can't move as the material is quite stretchy.

5.The next thing I got was this super beauts stripey midi skirt (find it here). This skirt for me is just ticking all the right boxes, it's monochrome, it's a midi and it's got stripes. Win. Win. Win. This skirt is going to be so perfect for summer. I would pair it with a cropped tee, some white converses and a white backpack - ahh monochrome love. Again this skirt is a little bit loose like the A line and I had to get the size changed, but it's a lovely soft and stretchy material.

6.Finally I could not finish this haul without including my lovely new perspex heels (see them here) from Next (as you have probably seen a gazillion times already - as I can't stop raving on about them). Next kindly gifted everyone who attended the event a pair of their shoes and I chose these lovely T-bars. They are super comfy and the Perspex heel is just something so different to what I'm used to seeing in a high heel, so this was really cool.

7.Lastly I finally got myself a choker yayyyy! A choker was on my Spring Wishlist (see that here) and am happy to say I have finally got one (find it here). This particular one was a set of three in which it included a choker, a ring and a bracelet in the same style. I love them all and I never want to take them off, my 90's self would be so proud. Sadly I forgot to take pictures of the choker on, so I have just used the picture below so you can see what it looks like on.

And that's it, phew that was long, I hope you all have made it to the end and enjoyed seeing the items I got in April. I'm thinking of making hauls a regular thing on my blog now (if my poor bank account will allow it), so stay tuned for next months one!

Which was your favourite thing from the haul? Have any of you done hauls on your blog? Leave your links below I would love to see them!

As always thank you for reading lovelies. Until next time I'm...
