OOTD: Shrinking Violet

Sunday, 8 February 2015

So guys I have finally "upgraded" from the amateur take-picture-on-phone-of-reflection-in-dirty-mirror thing and I took to the great outdoors Ahh! *dramatically intakes a breath of air* and do you know what? It was great. Yeah it was - I mean the sun was shining, it wasn't raining and I didn't have to worry about cleaning my mirror first! Apart from the horrid cold, and the growing worry that I could very possibly develop hypothermia from standing outside "half naked" as my mother would say, I had a lot of fun.

Anyway enough of me ranting on, let's talk about the outfit! I really love this look! It's got a hint of American school girl prep about it, sort of like a Jenny Humphrey-esque feel. It kind of makes me think I should be walking into Constance Billard come Monday morning!
Oh and also...I am officially a skort fan, they are just so comfy and functional, I don't know why I haven't bought one before. I mean I remember I had one as a kid, but whenever I wore it back then I always felt ridiculously uncool(as you feel in anything as a child!). Special thanks to Missguided for the wonderful buy and this 'Pixie Cut' post for persuading me to buy it!

  1. Outfit is so good. Love the skort and the necklace! Also, if you don't mind me asking, did you have someone take your photos for you outside? I'm after advice on best ways of doing outfit shots! Xx

    1. Hi Chelsea, thank you for the comment, I'm in love with this skort! And yes I got my other blogger friend to take the picture for me, but I'm also thinking of investing in a tripod so I can still take pictures if she's not available. Hope that helps! :)

    1. Hi Maria, thank you for the comment! At first I found it so awkward and a little embarrassing because people kept staring, but eventually you will get used to it!
